Copenhagen (October 5, 2022). On 28 September, at the facilities of the University of Copenhagen, the Diplomatic Evening event was successfully conducted as part of the 10th Copenhagen Literature Festival.  The Literature Festival is an annual event whose main objective is to support the dissemination of literature and culture from Spanish-speaking countries in Denmark.  

The event took place in a panel format, with the participation of the Cultural Attachés of the Embassies of Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Spain, and Portugal. During the event, each representative presented the way in which their respective countries approach the promotion of culture and cultural diplomacy through their Missions abroad. The audience consisted of the Copenhagen academic community, literary experts, writers, publishers, and representatives of various cultural organizations.   

During the Diplomatic Evening, Mr. Haendel Sebastián Rodríguez, First Secretary and Cultural Affairs Officer at the Colombian Embassy in Denmark, presented the strategies of Cultural and Public Diplomacy of Colombia, which include programs in areas as diverse as culture, education, and sports.

Mr. Rodriguez also highlighted the work being carried out by the Embassy of Colombia in Denmark through the Plan for the Promotion of Colombia Abroad, through which various activities of cultural diplomacy have been developed in the areas of literature, music, and film.
